This is the privacy screen mesh we supply for chain link fencing, and chain link is a specific case: the frame is already there and the openings are wide, so a cover has to close the mesh rather than replace it, and it has to give the line something other than bare wire to look at. A green cover does both, reading as planting or hedging from a distance rather than as fence. The cloth is knitted HDPE with UV resistance in the yarn, and it goes out in rolls with grommets and ties for garden retail.
Chain link is a case of its own. The frame already exists and the openings are wide, so the cover is not there to replace the fence, it is there to close the mesh and give the line something other than bare wire to look at. This is the screen mesh we supply for that, in green, with grommets and ties.

Two things matter on a chain link line. The first is coverage: the weave has to be dense enough that the openings behind it stop reading as a grid, which is what turns the fence into a boundary rather than a cage. The second is how it looks from a distance, and that is where green earns its place: against a lawn or a hedge a green cover reads as planting, while a bare chain link line reads as wire. The knitted HDPE carries UV resistance in the yarn, so the green holds rather than going grey, and the knit still moves air rather than catching it like a solid sheet.

The mesh goes over chain link fencing, along a garden boundary, across a balcony rail and around a yard, and because it is cut to the height you give us and supplied by the roll, a long chain link line comes off one order. Households screening a bed behind the same mesh often pair it with a planting bag, and the wider shade net range covers the shade grades where light rather than privacy is the problem.

The grommets are set in a bound edge, so the mesh is tied to the chain link posts and rails with the ties supplied rather than stapled to the wire, which is what lets it come off and go back on when the line is worked on. For garden retail the roll is packed so it can go on a shelf with the ties alongside, and because the height is made to order, a store can carry the sizes its customers actually fence with. A knitted monofilament net covers the shading job where a finer weave is wanted, while this mesh covers the fence screening work.

Height, roll length, shade rate and colour are all made to order, so the first detail to confirm is the height of the chain link and the total run. Mesh ships in PP woven bags. Buyers tracking how fence screening performs can follow trade coverage such as HortiDaily and FreshPlaza for what is being installed.
Will it work over an existing chain link fence?
Yes, that is what it is made for. It is tied to the posts and rails over the wire rather than replacing it.
Why green rather than black or brown?
Against a lawn or a hedge green reads as planting, so the line stops looking like bare wire. Brown and charcoal are also available.
Can I order a different height, run or colour?
Yes. Height, roll length, shade rate and colour are all made to order.
Tell us the height of the chain link and the total run you are covering, and the colour you are working to, and we will confirm the roll and the packing that suit your order.
