Privacy Fence Screen Windbreaker Shade Mesh for Construction Sites

Product Attributes :

This is the mesh we supply for construction site fencing, where the screen has to do two jobs at once: close off what is behind the hoarding and take the wind out of a site that is otherwise wide open. Doing only the first is what fails, because a solid sheet on a site fence catches every gust and pulls at the posts. The knitted HDPE mesh screens while letting part of the air through, and the UV resistance in the yarn holds it through a build that runs over a summer. It is supplied in rolls cut to the fence height you give us.

Product Description

A site fence has to hide what is behind it, and it also has to stand up to wind that crosses an open site with nothing to break it. A solid sheet does the first and fails the second. This is the knitted HDPE mesh we supply for both: dense enough to screen, open enough that a gust passes through instead of loading the hoarding.

Screening and Wind on the Same Fence

On a construction boundary the fence is usually temporary and lightly braced, so the load a cover puts on it matters more than it would on a garden fence. A knitted mesh lets part of the wind through, which drops the pull on the posts while still breaking up the view into the site. The same open weave means the screen dries instead of holding water, and the UV resistance in the yarn keeps it from going brittle across a build that runs through a summer. It is supplied in rolls cut to the fence height you give us.

Site Fencing, Scaffold and Hoarding

The mesh goes onto temporary site fencing, scaffold screening, hoarding panels and the boundary fence around a yard or a storage area, and because it is cut to the height you give us the same roll covers a low hoarding and a taller site fence. Growers screening a crop behind the same mesh often pair it with a planting bag, and the wider shade net range covers the shade grades where light rather than privacy is the problem.

Eyelets, Ties and Site Fixing

On a site fence the screen is usually tied rather than stapled, so the eyelets sit in a bound edge that will take a tie pulled hard without the mesh tearing out at the corner. That also means the screen can be taken down, rolled and moved to the next phase of the job, which is how a single order covers more than one temporary fence. A knitted monofilament net covers the shading job where a lighter weave is wanted, while this mesh covers the site screening and windbreak work.

Sizes, Packing and Order Detail

Height, roll length and colour are all made to order, so the first detail to confirm is the height of the site fence or scaffold you are screening and the total run. Mesh ships in PP woven bags. Buyers tracking how site screening performs can follow trade coverage such as HortiDaily and FreshPlaza for what is being installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this mesh load my site fence?
Less than a solid sheet. The knitted weave lets part of the wind through, so the pull on the posts and braces is lower while the view into the site is still broken up.

Can it be moved between phases of a job?
Yes. It is tied through eyelets in a bound edge rather than stapled, so it comes down, rolls up and goes back onto the next temporary fence.

Can I order a different height, run or colour?
Yes. Height, roll length and colour are all made to order. Tell us the run you are screening and we will advise.

Tell us the height and the total run you are screening, and the colour you are working to, and we will confirm the roll and the packing that suit your order.
