This is the anti insect net we supply on the roll rather than as fixed panels, and for a grower that is usually the practical way to buy it: a structure is measured, the net is cut to that length off the roll, and the offcut goes onto the next opening rather than being wasted. The cloth is white, which is chosen because it costs the crop almost no light compared with a dark net, and it is woven HDPE with UV resistance in the yarn. Widths run from 2 to 6 m and the mesh is made to order.

Product Description

Fixed panels suit a structure whose dimensions are already known and will not change. Most growing operations are not like that: bays differ, frames get added, and a panel that does not fit is wasted. This is the anti insect net we supply on the roll, cut to the length you give us.

Bought by the Roll, Cut to Your Length

Buying by the roll means the net is measured against the structure rather than the other way round. A run is cut to its own length, the offcut goes onto the next opening, and when a frame is added halfway through a season there is still cloth on the roll to cover it. Because the cloth is woven rather than knitted to a fixed width, it stays square when it is cut, so a trimmed edge does not pull the panel out of shape or leave a wavy line along the frame. The widths run from 2 to 6 m so the cut is usually needed in one direction only.

Greenhouse Vents, Frames and Field Rows

The netting is cut to cover greenhouse vents and doorways, garden frames, low tunnels and crop rows, and because it is white it is also used over young plants where the light matters most. Growers setting trays under the same netting often pair it with a planting bag, and the wider shade net range covers the shading grades where light rather than insect control is the problem.

Why White, and What It Costs the Crop

Colour on an insect net is a light decision. A dark cloth absorbs and the crop underneath pays for it all season, while a white one reflects and passes light, which is why white is the usual choice where the cover is up over growing plants rather than over a structure being kept cool. The open weave matters for the same reason: air still moves through, so the cloth holds the insects out without turning the bed into a sealed box. A knitted monofilament net covers the shading job where a shade rate is wanted instead.

Sizes, Packing and Order Detail

Width, roll length, mesh count and colour are made to order, and the standard minimum order quantity is 5000 m2. The first detail to confirm is the length of each run and how the net will be held down. Netting ships in rolls. Buyers tracking how insect netting performs can follow trade coverage such as HortiDaily and FreshPlaza for what is being installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the net supplied in panels or on the roll?
On the roll, cut to the length you give us, so uneven bays and later additions are both covered from the same order.

Does cutting the net cause problems?
The cloth is woven rather than knitted to a fixed width, so it stays square when cut and a trimmed edge does not pull the panel out of shape.

Why order white rather than a dark net?
White passes and reflects light rather than absorbing it, which matters when the cover is up over growing plants. Tell us how it will be used and we will advise.

Tell us the length of each run and how the net will be held down, and the mesh count you have in mind, and we will confirm the roll and the packing that suit your order.
