A grow bag is judged on the day it is moved full. The felt can be perfect and the bag still fails, because everything hangs on the two handle anchors and the seams under them. This one is sewn for that load: the handles are set into the wall on a double thread, and the base and rim are finished so the felt does not fray through a season of lifting. A 10 gallon body takes tomatoes, potatoes and flowering plants, and an activity window lets the crop be checked and picked without emptying the bag.

Product Description

A grow bag is judged on the day it is moved full. The felt can be perfect and the bag still fail, because everything hangs on two handle anchors and the seams beneath them.

Where a grow bag actually fails

The failure is almost never the fabric itself. It is the handle pulling out of the wall, or the seam below it opening under the weight of wet compost. This bag is built for that specific load: the handles are set into the wall and sewn on a double thread, and the base and rim are turned and stitched so the felt does not fray where it is handled most. The wall breathes and drains as felt should, so air reaches the root zone and surplus water leaves instead of sitting against the roots.

A 10 gallon body, and a window in the side

A 10 gallon format takes tomatoes, potatoes, beans and flowering plants, on a patio, a balcony or a nursery bench where there is no ground to plant into. The activity window has a cover that rolls back and holds clear, so crops that finish below the surface can be checked and picked by hand while the plant carries on above. Carrots, onions and potatoes all run in the same wall. The wall system is shared across the air pruning pot range.

Handles, seams and lifting

The handle anchors take the entire weight of a wet bag, so they are sewn through the wall on a doubled thread rather than run along a single seam, which spreads the pull into the felt instead of concentrating it on one line. The base is finished flat and stitched, so the bag stands level on paving while it is filled and can be dragged without the bottom going through. Larger formats sit with the tree and nursery container range.

Sizes, Packing and Order Detail

Tell us which formats and colours your programme runs, since the range is built to order and a printed logo can be added on programme quantities. Orders ship in bags, on pallets or in cartons, and the flat bag stores in a fraction of the space a stack of rigid pots takes. The wider soft container range sits in the planting bag range. Container and growing media supply is covered at HortiDaily and FreshPlaza.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight will the handles take?
The anchors are sewn through the wall on a double thread, so a full 10 gallon bag can be carried by the handles rather than dragged by the body.

What is the activity window for?
It lets crops that finish below the surface, potatoes in particular, be checked and picked by hand while the plant keeps growing above.

How are bulk orders packed?
In bags, on pallets or in cartons, with mixed sizes combined in one load.
