Product Attributes :

Stock leaves the nursery in the same container it grew in, so the pot has to be more than a growing tool: it is the root ball protection through lifting, loading and the trip to the buyer. This container is built from a studded panel, a base plate and screws, which keeps the root ball firm when it is lifted and stacked, and the open grid drains the base along the journey. Diameters run 15 to 200 cm in PE or PVC from 0.6 to 1.5 mm, with black or matched colours for sale presentation.

Product Description

A plant spends its whole nursery life in one container and then travels in it, so the pot has two shifts to serve: growing the root ball, and protecting it on the way to the buyer. This root control container runs both, from 15 cm rounds to 200 cm tree containers.

Made of three parts, built to lift

The container is a studded wall panel, a base plate and screws. The panel stops root tips at its openings so the root ball comes out fibrous and dense instead of coiled, and the base plate carries that mass flat and firm when the pot moves. Because the parts fasten rather than fuse, the same build runs from small rounds up the whole air pruning pot range, with no change in how a crew handles a lift.

From the row to the loading bay

A root ball that survives the lift is a root ball that survives the trip. The studded wall keeps its shape under lifting straps and stacked loads, the grid base holds the underside of the root mass evenly, and drainage keeps working while the stock waits to be loaded. Trees and shrubs can go to the customer in the same container they grew in, so the growing work arrives intact rather than re-potted on site.

three air pruning containers in graduated sizes

Sizes for every sale format

Small rounds hold liners and starter shrubs for market tables, the mid formats take growing-on stock, and the large containers carry specimen trees that head straight to a planting project. Because the wall system is shared, a nursery sells across formats without changing its growing method, and buyers replacing stock mid-season find the same container in the tree and nursery container range.

Orders, colours and samples

Standard black suits production rows, while white and matched colours help stock stand out in a sales area, chosen per programme rather than per pot. Orders mix sizes freely in one load, packed in woven bag or carton, and samples let a buyer test a format in their own presentation before committing a season. Soft containers for flexible growing sit in the planting bag range. Trade coverage of nursery practice runs at HortiDaily and FreshPlaza.

Frequently asked questions

Does the container travel with the plant?
Container-grown stock ships in its growing container; the studded wall and base plate hold the root ball firm through loading and delivery.

Will the root ball hold through a lift?
The wall keeps its shape under lifting, and the grid base spreads the weight evenly, so the root mass stays intact when the pot moves.

Can colours be matched for retail presentation?
Yes. Black is standard, white and matched colours run on programme orders, and samples are available for testing.
