Greenhouse HDPE Anti Insect Net for Garden Pest Control and Crop Cover

Product Attributes :

This is the anti insect net we supply for greenhouses and garden crops, and the specification that decides what it keeps out is the mesh count rather than the shade rate: a coarser 20 mesh stops the larger insects and moths while keeping more air moving, and a fine 60 mesh closes the structure against the small ones at the cost of some ventilation. Standard stock runs from 20 to 60 mesh, in widths from 2 to 6 m. The cloth is woven HDPE, so it hangs straight across a frame and does not stretch out of shape.

Product Description

On an insect net the number that matters is not the shade rate, it is the mesh count. A 20 mesh cloth stops the larger insects and moths while letting more air through; a fine 60 mesh closes the structure against the small ones, at the cost of some ventilation. This is the anti insect net we supply across that range, in widths from 2 to 6 m.

The Mesh Count Decides What Gets In

Mesh count is a straight trade against airflow. Finer mesh stops more, but it also holds more air back, so a greenhouse closed with 60 mesh will run hotter and damper than the same house at 20 mesh unless the ventilation is sized for it. That is why the count is treated as a specification rather than a quality grade, and why growers usually match it to the pest they actually have: coarse for moths and beetles, fine for whitefly, aphids and thrips. The cloth is woven HDPE, so it hangs straight across a frame and does not stretch out of shape the way a light knit can.

Greenhouses, Polytunnels and Garden Beds

The netting goes over greenhouse vents and doorways, across polytunnel ends, over raised beds and around a garden frame, and because it is supplied by the roll in 2 to 6 m widths, a house can be closed off in one piece where the span allows. Households setting trays under the same netting often pair it with a planting bag, and the wider shade net range covers the shading grades where light rather than insect control is the problem.

Width, Ventilation and Fixing

Width is the second specification, and at 2 to 6 m it usually decides whether an opening can be covered in one piece or has to be joined, which matters on a tunnel where a seam is a place for air to escape and for insects to find a way in. Where a finer mesh is used, the ventilation has to be planned for it, so it is worth settling the count and the roof vent area at the same time rather than after the house is covered. A knitted monofilament net covers the shading job where a shade rate rather than insect control is wanted.

Sizes, Packing and Order Detail

Mesh count, width, length and colour are all made to order, and the standard minimum order quantity is 5000 m2. The first detail to confirm is the pest you are dealing with and the span you are covering. Netting ships in rolls. Buyers tracking how crop protection netting performs can follow trade coverage such as HortiDaily and FreshPlaza for what is being installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which mesh count should I choose?
Coarser mesh such as 20 keeps the larger insects out while moving more air; finer mesh up to 60 closes the structure against small insects but restricts ventilation. Tell us the pest and we will advise.

Will a fine mesh make the greenhouse too hot?
It reduces airflow, so roof vent area has to be sized for the mesh chosen. Settling both at the same time avoids the problem.

What is the minimum order?
The standard minimum order quantity is 5000 m2, with mesh count, width and colour made to order.

Tell us the pest you are dealing with and the span you are covering, and we will confirm the mesh count, the width and the packing that suit your order.
