Grey and White Striped Balcony Privacy Screen with Zip Ties and Rope

Product Attributes :

This is the striped balcony screen we supply as a finished panel, and two details separate it from a plain roll: it arrives with the zip ties and the rope in the pack, and the panels are made to splice, so two or three can be joined into a longer rail without a gap showing at the seam. The stripe runs the length of the panel, which keeps a long balcony reading as one screen rather than a series of panels. The mesh is knitted HDPE with UV resistance in the yarn, and it works on a rail without drilling.

Product Description

A balcony rail is usually longer than one panel, and the seam is where a screen stops looking like a screen. This one is made to splice: the panels join through the grommets at the ends so the run reads as one piece, and the zip ties and the rope come in the pack, so it goes up without drilling or a trip to the hardware shop.

Splicing Panels Into One Run

Splicing matters more than it sounds. Two panels tied side by side with a gap or an overlap show a break in the stripe and a weak point where the wind works at the edge; joining them through the end grommets keeps the stripes lined up and spreads the load across the joint instead of concentrating it at two holes. That is what lets a long balcony or a full terrace edge be covered from stock panels rather than ordered as one very long piece, and it also means a panel can be added later when a rail is extended.

Balcony Railings, Deck Edges and Terraces

The screen goes along a balcony railing, around a deck edge, across a terrace and over a patio boundary where the cover faces a neighbour or the street. Because the panels splice, a longer run is built from the same stock size rather than cut from a roll. Households screening a bed behind the same mesh often pair it with a planting bag, and the wider shade net range covers the shading grades where light rather than privacy is the problem.

Zip Ties, Rope and the Fixing

The pack carries both, because the two fixings do different jobs: zip ties hold the panel to a rail or a post where the gap is fixed, and rope lets a splice be tied off and tensioned so the joint does not open under wind. Both run through grommets set in a bound edge rather than punched through the weave, so a panel can be taken down and put back without the fixing points tearing out. A knitted monofilament net covers the shading job where a lighter weave is wanted, while this screen covers the balcony privacy work.

Sizes, Packing and Order Detail

Panel size, stripe, colour and grommet spacing are all made to order, so the first detail to confirm is the length of the rail and whether the run will be spliced from stock panels or made as one piece. Screens ship in PP woven bags with the ties and rope packed alongside. Buyers tracking how screening performs on balconies can follow trade coverage such as HortiDaily and FreshPlaza for what is being installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can two panels be joined into one run?
Yes, that is what the design is for. They splice through the end grommets so the stripes line up and the load is spread across the joint.

Does it come with fixings?
Yes. Zip ties and rope are in the pack. The ties hold the panel to a rail or post, and the rope tensions a splice.

Can I order a different size or stripe?
Yes. Panel size, stripe, colour and grommet spacing are all made to order. Tell us the rail length and we will advise.

Tell us the length of the rail or deck edge you are covering and whether the run will be spliced from stock panels, and we will confirm the size and the packing that suit your order.
