Because the eyelets are already set along a bound edge, the screen is tied to a fence post, a chain-link panel or a rail with rope or ties rather than being stapled or tacked, so it can be taken down for a season and put back without the edge fraying. That is what makes the same roll practical on a rented property and on a working boundary.
