Root rot is a drainage problem before it is a disease problem, and in a container it is usually caused by a wall that holds water. This bag is built the other way round: the felt is permeable to both water and air, so surplus water leaves through the side and oxygen reaches the root zone. Roots meet air at the face and stop rather than circling the base, which is what makes the plant easy to transplant later with the root ball intact. Sizes run from 2 to 10 gallon, in green and black.
Root rot is a drainage problem before it is a disease problem. In a container it is almost always caused by a wall that holds water, and by the time the leaves show it the roots have been sitting wet for weeks.

The felt is permeable in both directions: surplus water leaves through the side wall instead of collecting at the base, and air reaches the root zone through the same weave. That combination is what keeps roots working in the top two thirds of the bag rather than sitting in a wet layer at the bottom. Roots meet air at the felt face and stop, so the root ball comes out fibrous and whole instead of coiled round the base, which is what makes the plant easy to lift and transplant later.

The 2 gallon format takes herbs and seedlings, and the 10 gallon takes tomatoes, watermelons and young trees, both off the same felt so the growing medium behaves the same way as a plant is stepped up. Growers use them on patios, balconies and nursery benches where there is no ground to plant into, and the window format lets potatoes be checked and picked without emptying the bag. The wall system is shared across the air pruning pot range.

| Use | Vegetables and flowering plants |
| Material | Non-woven felt fabric |
| Form | Round |
| Sizes | 2 to 10 gallon |
| Water | Permeable, drains surplus water |
| Air | Permeable, air prunes the root zone |
| Handles | Stitched fabric handles |
| Packing | Bag, pallet or carton |

Handles are stitched through the wall rather than run along a single seam, so a full bag can be lifted by hand and the pull is spread into the felt. The window cover rolls back and stays clear while the crop is picked, then closes again between pickings, and the flat base keeps the bag standing on a bench or paving while it is filled. Starter trays sit alongside in the seedling and propagation range.

Tell us which formats and colours your programme runs, since the range is built to order and a printed logo can be added on programme quantities. Orders ship in bags, on pallets or in cartons, and the flat bag stores in a fraction of the space a stack of rigid pots takes. The wider soft container range sits in the planting bag range. Container and growing media supply is covered at HortiDaily and FreshPlaza.
How does the bag prevent root rot?
The felt is permeable to water and air, so surplus water drains through the side wall and oxygen reaches the root zone instead of the roots sitting in a wet layer.
Is it easy to transplant out of?
Roots meet air at the felt and stop rather than coiling, so the root ball lifts out fibrous and whole when the plant is moved on.
How are bulk orders packed?
In bags, on pallets or in cartons, with mixed sizes and colours combined in one load.

Tell us the sizes, colours and quantities your programme needs, and we will come back with the packing plan, sample and lead time.
