Protected cropping has a problem open ground does not: nothing can be planted into the floor, and everything has to be moved in and out between crops. A felt bag answers both. It stands on a slab or a bench, drains through its own wall so a polytunnel floor stays dry, and an empty one folds flat and stacks between successions. This range runs from a small bag on a bench to a large one on the floor, in black, green, tan and stone grey.
Protected cropping has a problem open ground does not: nothing can be planted into the floor, and everything has to be moved in and out between crops.

A felt bag stands on its own base wherever the crop is going to run: a bench under the ridge, a concrete slab down the side, or the floor of a polytunnel between raised beds. Because the wall drains rather than the base, watering does not leave a wet patch under every bag, which is what keeps a tunnel floor usable and cuts the disease pressure that comes with standing water. The same wall breathes, so roots meet air at the face and branch instead of coiling.

When a succession finishes, the bag folds flat and stacks, so a tunnel can be cleared and replanted without a stack of rigid pots occupying the space between crops. Tomatoes, potatoes, herbs and flowering plants all run in the same wall, and the sizes let a grower put one crop on a bench and another on the floor in the same house. Colours run black, green, tan and stone grey. The wall system is shared across the air pruning pot range.

| Use | Greenhouse and polytunnel cropping |
| Material | Non-woven felt fabric |
| Form | Round |
| Placement | Benches, slabs and tunnel floors |
| Drainage | Breathable wall, drains as it waters |
| Handles | Stitched handles, sized to the format |
| Storage | Folds flat between successions |
| Packing | Bag, pallet or carton |

Bags get carried between houses and benches more often than they get dragged, so the handles are stitched through the wall and sized to the format rather than made uniform. The base is finished flat and stitched so a bag sits level on a slab without rocking, and the rim is turned so the felt does not fray where it is gripped. Tree formats sit with the tree and nursery container range.

Tell us the diameters, volumes and colours your programme works to, since the felt is needled to order and a printed logo can be added on programme quantities. Orders ship in bags, on pallets or in cartons, and the flat bag stores in a fraction of the space a stack of rigid pots takes. The wider soft container range sits in the planting bag range. Container and growing media supply is covered at HortiDaily and FreshPlaza.
Will watering leave the tunnel floor wet?
The wall drains as well as the base does, so surplus water leaves through the side rather than pooling under every bag.
What happens to the bags between crops?
They fold flat and stack, which clears the house for the next succession without a stack of rigid pots in the way.
How are bulk orders packed?
In bags, on pallets or in cartons, with mixed sizes and colours combined in one load.

Tell us the sizes, colours and quantities your programme needs, and we will come back with the packing plan, sample and lead time.
