A felt bag left in full sun for a season is being tested every day, and the fabric is where the failure shows first: it fades, then it goes brittle along the rim and the handles start tearing at the anchor. This bag is made from non-woven felt built to resist that sunlight ageing, with a bound green rim and stitched fabric handles that take the load when a full bag is lifted. The same bag is made across a range of diameters, so a grower can run one system from seedling to cropping, and it breaths enough that surplus water leaves the root zone.
Most grow bags never see a shaded bench. They sit in full sun on a terrace, a roof or an open nursery row from spring to autumn, and the wall is what ages first. These bags are built with that in mind.

The felt is treated so sunlight ages it more slowly, which is what keeps the wall from going brittle and splitting along the rim after a summer outdoors. The rim itself is bound with a green edge rather than left raw, so the fabric cannot unravel from the top down. Because the wall is felt and not film, it still breathes: air reaches the root zone and surplus water leaves, so roots stay fibrous instead of circling the base of the bag.

The same bag is made across a range of diameters, so a programme can start small and step the plant up without changing the wall it is growing in. Strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers, potatoes and tomatoes all crop in them, on terraces where there is no ground to plant into, and the stitched handles mean a full bag can be moved without emptying it first. The wall system is shared across the air pruning pot range.

A full bag is heavy and it usually has to be moved on the day it is planted, so the handles are stitched fabric straps set into the wall rather than a loop run through a single seam. The bound rim keeps the top edge rigid enough to hold the bag open while it is filled, and the flat stitched base lets it stand on paving without tipping. Larger formats move on a trolley, and trees can stay in the biggest sizes through to planting out with the tree and nursery container range.

Please tell us the diameters and volumes your programme works to, since the same wall is built across a range of round formats and colours can be matched on programme orders. Orders ship in bags, on pallets or in cartons, with 500 pieces to a carton, and the flat bag stores in a fraction of the space a stack of rigid pots takes. The wider soft container range sits in the planting bag range. Container and growing media supply is covered at HortiDaily and FreshPlaza.
How long will the bag last outdoors?
The felt is made to resist sunlight ageing and the rim is bound rather than left raw, so the wall keeps its strength through a full growing season in the open.
What can be grown in it?
Vegetables, fruit and nursery stock all crop in the same wall, including strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers, potatoes and tomatoes.
How are bulk orders packed?
In bags, on pallets or in cartons, with 500 pieces to a carton and mixed sizes combined in one load.

Tell us the diameters, colours and volumes your programme needs, and we will come back with the packing plan, sample and lead time.
