This is the balcony privacy cover we supply in beige and brown, and the colour is the point of it: against a timber deck, a trellis or a stained fence a grey or blue screen reads as an addition, while a sand or brown cover sits with the timber it is tied to and the boundary stops drawing the eye. It is the same knitted HDPE as the striped grades, with UV resistance in the yarn, and it goes out as a finished cover with grommets and a carry bag for storage between seasons.
Colour decides whether a balcony screen reads as part of the building or as something bolted on. Against timber decking, a trellis or a stained fence, a grey or blue cover stands out; a sand or brown one sits with the timber and the boundary stops drawing the eye. This is the privacy cover we supply in those two tones.

The cloth is the same knitted HDPE as the striped grades, with the colour dyed into the yarn rather than printed on the surface, so a sand cover does not go patchy across a season the way a coated fabric does. UV resistance is extruded with the yarn for the same reason, which matters more on a neutral tone: a grey or blue screen that fades a shade still reads as a screen, while a beige one that fades can start to look washed out and tired against new timber. The knit stays open, so air still moves through the cover.

The cover goes along a balcony rail, around a deck edge, across a patio and over a fence line, and because it is cut to the height you give us, one order covers a balcony and a longer deck run from the same cloth. Households screening a bed behind the same cover often pair it with a planting bag, and the wider shade net range covers the reflective grades where a heat reflective cover is wanted instead.

The grommets are set into a bound edge, so the cover is tied to the rail or the posts with rope or ties rather than stapled, and it can be taken down at the end of the season and stored in the bag it arrives with instead of being left up to weather through the winter. That is the difference between a cover that lasts several seasons and one that is replaced each spring. A knitted monofilament net covers the shading job where a finer weave is wanted, while this cover carries the privacy and sun shade work.

Height, roll length, shade rate and colour are all made to order, so the first detail to confirm is the height of the rail or deck edge and the total run. Covers ship in PP woven bags. Buyers tracking how privacy covers perform outdoors can follow trade coverage such as HortiDaily and FreshPlaza for what is being installed.
Why choose beige or brown over grey?
Against timber decking, a trellis or a stained fence a sand or brown cover sits with the timber rather than standing out from it.
Will a neutral tone fade?
The colour is dyed into the HDPE yarn with the UV stabiliser, rather than printed on the surface, so it holds better than a coated fabric.
Can I order a different height, run or colour?
Yes. Height, roll length, shade rate and colour are all made to order. Tell us the rail height and the run.
Tell us the height and the total run you are covering, and the colour you are working to, and we will confirm the cover and the packing that suit your order.
